It all starts with a 30-45 minute consultation appointment to determine whether we can provide you with the best service possible and whether we're a great fit for you. We may ask you to fill out a form in person and sign our appointment agreement.
A half day is typically booked for new extensions clients, 3 to 4 hours, and the appointment deposit is the actual cost of the hair. The install appointment will be exactly the same amount. This process varies a little bit for halo & clip-in clients, since those are more take-home options.
Fantasy color client service timing will be determined at the consultation. It will also be decided there if the service is a fantasy color or a color correction.
Extensions Installation Appointments Include:
We can't guarantee pricing online or on the phone, but we can give you a general idea on here for what our salon-maintained extensions cost.
Move-up appointment pricing varies slightly by length of hair and time needed for appointments. The maintenance appointment price is usually quoted in the initial consultation. We'll normally start with a 6 week appointment, but if we feel you need to come in earlier or can handle 7-8 weeks, we'll let you know. 8 weeks is pushing it, since if you need to reschedule or can't make it to that 8 week appointment, your extensions would be pretty grown out.
Maintenance appointments include removal of extensions, hair & scalp lookover, shampoo & conditioning, blowout and styling. If you are an existing client, you can reach out any time for a stitch-up/tack stitching visit at our express station. Some clients need this more regularly, but we recognize that things may need a 5-10 minute adjustment in between visits. This extra client care sets us apart from other salons and our clients love that. You are NOT bothering us asking for a stitch-up. If things are a hot mess and matted up from skydiving or something, that's a different discussion.
Q: Are you taking new clients?
A: Drew is taking new clients here and there, but most new clients are directed to Patt.
Q: What kind of extensions does Bloom do?
A: Both Drew and Patt are AQUA certified in beaded row and tape extensions. Beaded row is the most popular at Bloom due to it being the least damaging and providing the most coverage. We also have temporary options like clip-in sets and halos.
Q: I don't have enough hair to cover extensions on top, but I want extensions! Can I still get them?
A: You should have us do a specialty piece that replaces the top row and have a single row of extensions below that if you also want length, or a mesh integration (unavailable until after July 2024).
Q: How long do hair extensions take to arrive from the consultation date?
A: 3 to 4 business days, but we might not be available to do the appointment that quickly.
Q: Do you work with hair from other salons?
A: Typically, no. This goes by consultation. We will not guarantee services on hair from outside our salon and we won't chemically process/color hair from outside our salon.
Q: I have an event and want to get extensions done right away! Can you do that?
A: If you want to pay us to come in on our day off, possibly.
Q: Do hair extensions cause breakage?
A: Usually, no. We can't guarantee things won't change with your hair or scalp. We're aware of what the internet says, but let's all be realistic about our expectations and what our hair can handle.
Whenever we do a move-up, we brush the hair out completely and check for any undesired shedding. The beaded row and combination extensions we do are attached to only a small amount of natural hair (5-15%), so they can't possibly cause that much damage.
In order to offer the best quality services and the best prices possible, we must uphold certain policies. My schedule is nearly completely full with clients. Our appointments take longer than most other salons, as we are thorough and our clients are wanting that experience.
Cancellations must be done with 48 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a 50% fee. Same day cancellations are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
No-Call/No-Shows are completely unacceptable, even for consultations. If you no-show an appointment or consultation without explanation, we will not accept future bookings without payment of 100% of the missed service or payment of the consultation fee. Any existing appointments will be removed from the schedule.
No-Call/No-Show initial hair extension installation appointments will forfeit the hair extensions you purchased. We will have to resell those extensions to cover the cost of the time.
